History
The former Midt Factoring A/S was established in 1981 by Egetæpper A/S with the role of offering financial services in the carpet industry. In 1986 the first "full-service" concept was introduced, which has since formed the basis for products and services in financing, debtor management, risk coverage and related services for a wide range of industries. In May 2008 the Coface Group became majority shareholder in the company and in December 2008 the name was changed to Coface Finans A/S. On behalf of our clients we handle an annual turnover measured as a two-digit billion figure in Danish Kroner.
In 1997 the German credit insurance group Gerling established itself in Denmark as Gerling Nordic Kreditforsikring. In 2002 the Coface group purchased the activities and has since marketed credit insurance in Denmark using the Coface brand.
In December 2008, all Danish Coface activities with approx. 135 employees were grouped under the name Coface Denmark. The head office is located in Ikast and we have a sales office in Copenhagen.
